It-fab is the Italian national network that coordinates the main public infrastructures for micro- and nano-fabrication, linking laboratories, clean rooms and advanced expertise across Italian research organizations and universities. Main objectives of the initiative are (i) to facilitate shared access to micro- and nano-fabrication infrastructures; (ii) to promote scientific collaborations between universities, public research organizations and industry; (iii) to support the development of advanced devices for microelectronics, photonics, sensor technology, MEMS, quantum technologies and innovative materials; (iv) to represent the Italian node in European initiatives dedicated to nanofabrication, such as EuroNanoLab.
