Marco Brucale is a senior researcher at CNR‑ISMN. He holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry and a PhD in Chemical Sciences. He has contributed to several national and international research projects, maintains worldwide scientific collaborations, and is the author of numerous peer‑reviewed publications. His main expertise concerns the nanoscopic characterization of biological materials, with emphasis on colloidal and mechanical properties studied through advanced scanning probe microscopy.

Attività di ricerca

His research focuses on the in‑singulo characterization of biogenic nanoparticles, the nanomechanics of lipid systems, and the biophysics of amyloids and nucleic acids. He develops and applies nanoscale techniques to investigate the structural and mechanical features of soft and biological matter, with particular attention to single‑particle and single‑molecule resolution.
