On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the National Research Council, the Institutes of the Palermo Research Area open their doors to the public with a program full of events and activities

In 2023, the National Research Council, Italy's largest public research organization, celebrates the 100th anniversary of its founding.

From October 9 to 13, 2023, the Institutes of theResearch Territorial Area of the CNR of Palermo will open their doors to the public with a rich program of events and activities: conferences; seminars; exhibitions; interactive stands; webinars; games; artistic and popular initiatives, telling the public about current research aimed at contributing to the scientific and technological progress of society. All contributions will be multidisciplinary and will include the participation of other Research Institutions INAF, INGV and RI.MED Foundation present at the Area.

The event traces the history of the CNR and anticipates its future challenges. In addition to the enhancement of the scientific activities carried out by the CNR and the other research organizations involved, the event will bring young people closer to STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines, seeking to contribute to the training of students and future professionals to support the country's social and industrial growth.
