SQUALANE NOW IS SUSTAINABLE AND LOW COST
Moisturizers, oils for children and facial cleansers have a common ingredient: squalane. A new process for its production was discovered by researchers at the Institute for the study of nanostructured materials (ISMN) CNR of Palermo, coordinated by Mario Pagliaro, in collaboration with colleagues at the University of Laval in Québec, directed by Serge Kaliaguine.
RECYCLING AND ECO COMPATIBILITY IN PALERMO WITH EXPERIENCE TEACHES
The bio-organic substances (BOS) are organic molecules with high molecular weight and structure-like polymer. From spectroscopic characterization we assumed a molecule that could well simulate the monomeric units average BOS. With the help of computers and appropriate programs we have reconstructed the molecular structure in 3D.
