The ArgiNaRe project, which is at the base of the constituting Spin-off “ATHENA Green Solutions” joint and not participated by the CNR (with the ISMN and IRBIM Institutes) and by the Univ. of Messina, took part as winner in the Final Network Accelerators and Science and Technology Parks Incubators of the Gaetano Marzotto 9th edition (PGM9) Award which was held on June 27th in Turin at the UniManagement within the Italian Tech Week.


In particular, the ArgiNaRe team won the MENTORING PATH offered by SOCIALFARE / Torino as part of the 9th edition of the Gaetano Marzotto Award, of the value of € 40,000 issued in mentoring and acceleration services. The SocialFare I.S. Srl is the first Center for Innovation in Italy, born in Turin in 2013 that develops innovative solutions to contemporary social challenges, generating a new economy.

More than 500 applications registered to participate in Ticket to the Future, the call for the 9th edition of the Gaetano Marzotto Award, which have been evaluated by over 100 experts. With 351 proposals submitted for the Prize from the idea to the company. Beginning with the Incubators and Science and Technology Parks Network, headed by Italia Start Up, which saw Thursday June 27 at the Italian Tech Week at the Turin UniManagement, announce the winners of the 31 coaching courses. The 31 StarUp winners of the mentoring courses offered by the PMG9 partners will be allowed to compete for the € 50,000 loan offered by Progetto Marzotto for the Award from the idea to the company.

Until 21 November 2019, more than 100 assessors - including entrepreneurs, investors, researchers and innovation experts - will be involved in screening, to identify the winners of the prize pool of over 2 million euros, including cash and mentorship awards, for the 15 categories of competition.

Dr. Maria Rosaria Plutino, researcher of the Institute for the Study of Nanostructured Materials (ISMN) of the National Research Council (CNR), as CEO and Scientific Responsible of the future Innovative Srl, present with Dr. Giuseppe Sabatino, graduate technician at the Dept. of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences and Earth Sciences (MITF-UniMe), as COO and Scientific Responsible always of the aforementioned Innovative Srl, presented the project through a pitch session at the “Ticket to the Future” event held in Turin. 

The ArgiNaRe project, deals with the development of new eco-friendly innovative hybrid materials, based on the use of natural clays and waste products, for environmental remediation and reclamation, and was developed by a multidisciplinary team (Dr. MR Plutino, ISMN-CNR, Dr. S.
