Development of organic light-emitting field-effect transistors

ETC is a start up company of the SAES Group and a spin off of CNR, and was built by leveraging on the fundamental research expertise and know-how developed at ISMN. The principal focus of ETC is the development of functional materials and advanced device architectures for use in Organic Photonics applications. The project aims at investigating the fundamental properties of functional materials suitable for use as active layers in OLETs.  The basic excitonic and optoelectronic characteristics are investigated at the material and device level by advanced spectroscopic and imaging tools capable of providing a deep insight into the correlation between materials structure, processing techniques and device architectures.

Investigations on the role of helical structure on the energy migration in the mechanisms of quantum coherent transfer in EET processes (energy electron transfer).
